  • 26-10-2016 Next step towards a gravitational-wave observatory in space

    The European Space Agency (ESA) invites European scientists to propose concepts for the third large mission – L3 – in its science programme, to study the gravitational Universe. Concepts for the mission will have to address the exploration of the Universe with low-frequency gravitational waves, complementing the observations performed on the ground to fully exploit the new field of gravitational astronomy. The planned launch date for the mission is 2034.

  • 26-10-2016 Public consultation: Have your say on Horizon 2020

    The European Commission has launched a public stakeholder consultation which will feed into the interim evaluation of Horizon 2020, the EU's €77 billion research and innovation funding programme running from 2014 to 2020. This interim evaluation will help improve the functioning of Horizon 2020, and will also be an important element in preparations of a next EU research and innovation programme.
